| Preface to upcoming post: Chances are, you don't really need to read this unless you know what the vagina pot is.
I am so sick of bullshit. Two-faced motherfucking bullshit. You wanna say some shit about my friends in front of me? Fine, but know that it's just the same as talking shit about me in front of me. I thought I left high school two years ago. Boy, was I wrong. Summer after my sophomore year of college and it's still the same high-school-drama crap. I'm so sick of this "Minnesota nice" crap. "Oh, I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings, so I'm just going to not tell this person when I have a problem with them. It won't come back to hurt them in the end when they find out that I didn't have the balls to bring my problem to them in the first place. If the problem can get ignored long enough, it'll all go away." FUCK YOU. That is the shittiest reason for inaction in the history of the goddamn world. Jesus H Christ. If you have a problem with someone, sit down with them like you're both adults and talk it out. It'll be a lot better in the end. My girl told me tonight that she thinks that I realized that people are assholes and that's why I don't deal with two-faced type stuff. She's half right. People are self-interested and (especially here) don't want to hurt each others' feelings. Guess what? At some point in your life, you will hurt somebody else in some way, shape or form. It's gonna happen. Deal with it. I'm not trying to put myself up on a pedestal, nor do I want to give off the impression that I want people to start being bitches. I just want people to be straight up with one another. This is a PSA, like when I did that post a way long time ago about using protection in sexual situations. Please, good people, just be upfront with one another, it'll work out so much better in the end.

| I might need some help. When my dad left three years ago, there was a family who took us in and took care of us in more ways than I will ever be aware of. When my mom didn't have a cell phone, they said "Nan, you need one in case something happens to you or your children. We're getting you one and putting you on our plan." (She had actually gotten one that day.) The mom, Pam, was sitting next to my mom when I was crowned queen. We took family trips together, kids played together, it was very all-american neighbor-style. Well, I found out yesterday that Pam has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia. We're trying to coordinate meals for their family and any other services they might need. For example, Pam has gel nails and we need to find somebody who knows how to remove them. If she were to get a fungal infection underneath them, she could die. She is extremely ill. So, if anyone (or your families) can help us out, give me a call at 612.968.4703 Thanks.
P.S. - My uncle was recently diagnosed with Lyme's Disease, but he's doing okay. | | |

Congress wants to cut funding to NPR and PBS and eventually pull out all funding. Please please please, do not let this happen. For those of you who listen to MPR or the Current (which is totally awesome, btw), you have an obligation (yes, i said it) to sign this petition.
